Biomolecular Glyphs

Summary

This visual approach reframes the Bohr Model of atomic structure through a system of mystical glyphs, transforming biomolecular concepts into a symbolic language that invites aesthetic curiosity. By abstracting complex chemical concepts into visually compelling forms, the work engages a lay audience through design that is both approachable and playfully interpretive, positioning chemistry not as rigid knowledge, but as a space for aesthetic experimentation and imaginative engagement.

Instructional Guide

A  step-by-step guide to understanding the structure and interactions of atoms and molecules by deconstructing their components into symbolic pieces that can be combined into intuitive designs driven by the learner.

Animated Glyphs

The glyphs can be combined into larger interconnected structures that represent more complex molecules. The glyphs were then taken into Adobe After Effects and composited to create mesmerizing, dynamic animations.
